The Green market challenge

Working in teams, students learn how to delegate and practice dividing work, sharing ideas, providing feedback, and cooperating to achieve a shared goal.

Students discover the triple-bottom line and are challenged to think of how their companies help the planet, give back to people, and how they will invest their profits.

Students create original products from recycled materials as they experiment to create compelling products to sell at the "Green Market," where students and teachers can shop for each other's goods.

Students apply for bank loans to fund their ventures, learning about how to put together a business plan, gaining an understanding of pricing and interest, and calculating their own revenue and profits.
